Cookie Dough

Cookie Dough opened her career with back-to-back third-place finishes in maiden special weight races. Trainer Stanley Gold then tries her in stakes competition and she finished sixth in the Florida Sire Desert Vixen Stakes.

She showed tremendous improvement in her fourth start when stretching out to seven-eighths of a mile for the Florida Sire Susan's Girl Stakes on Sept. 1, 2018, powering clear to win by 6 ½ lengths for her first career win. She dazzled again in her final start at two when she romped by 7 ½ lengths in the Florida Sire My Dear Girl Stakes going 1 1/16 miles at Gulfstream on Sept. 29.

After five months off, Cookie Dough resurfaced in the Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes on March 2 at Gulfstream. She set the pace and then put away champion Jaywalk near the top of the stretch but could not hold off late-charging Jeltrin in a thrilling photo finish.

Cookie Dough subsequently finished third in both the Gulfstream Park Oaks and the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes. After an unplaced finish in the Grade 1 Acorn Stakes, Cookie Dough ran second in the Grade 3 Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park in July 2019. She closed out her 3-year-old season with a runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Rampart Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Making her 4-year-old bow in the Grade 3 Royal Delta Stakes, Cookie Dough earned a breakthrough graded stakes victory by three-quarters of a length as the 8-5 favorite.

Cookie Dough is out of the winning Fusaichi Pegasus mare Brooke’s Valentine.
