Florida-bred Code Warrior won her first three starts as a 2-year-old at Golden Gate Fields for trainer Manuel Badilla, including the Golden Gate Debutante Stakes in late November. The Society Chairman’s filly then tested graded stakes company in January 2016 and finished a close second in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez Stakes at Santa Anita. She subsequently competed in three additional stakes, finishing fourth twice, during the spring but did not race again until early 2017.

She subsequently competed in three additional stakes, finishing fourth twice, during the spring but did not race again until early 2017.
Code Warrior placed in all three of her starts to begin her 4-year-old season before Gary Barber and Wachtel Stable became part-owners. Transferred to trainer Rachel Halden and shipped to Canada, she finished third in the Ballade Stakes at Woodbine before breaking through with her first stakes win in the Grade 3 Hendrie Stakes on June 4.
Code Warrior won one of her next six starts over the next year – a listed stakes in early 2018 for new connections – but then scored a repeat victory in the Hendrie Stakes on June 10.
Two starts later, she picked up another graded stakes win with a two length score in the Aug. 26 Grade 3 Seaway Stakes at Woodbine.
