Into Chocolate needed two starts to earn her first victory, winning a one-mile maiden special weight race in June 2019 at Santa Anita Park. She did not earn her second win until five starts later when she scored by a half-length in an allowance-optional claiming race Dec. 29 at Santa Anita.
Following a runner-up finish in the Minaret Stakes in February 2020 in her 4-year-old debut, the Into Mischief filly won sprinting by a half-length in a July allowance-optional claiming race at Belmont Park.

Into Chocolate’s first try against graded stakes competition did not go well as she faded to seventh, beaten by 20 lengths in the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Stakes Aug. 21 at Del Mar. She rebounded nicely in her next start, however, rallying from third to reel in heavily favored Qahira for a breakthrough victory in the Grade 3 Chillingworth Stakes Sept. 25 at Santa Anita.
Into Chocolate is out of the Candy Ride mare Candy Drawer, a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Harmonious.
