Chalon won three of her first four starts, including the Jersey Girl Stakes at Monmouth Park. Challenged for the first time in a graded stakes, Chalon finished fourth in the Grade 1 Longines Test Stakes and then ran third in the Beverly J. Lewis Stakes. She subsequently finished second against older females in the Garde 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes before another runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland.

Chalon won the Primonetta Stakes at Laurel Park in April in her 4-year-old bow. She followed with a runner-up finish in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Stakes before winning the Regret Stakes at Monmouth Park in June. Following a short layoff, Chalon returned in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland in October and finished second by a head. Chalon followed with another terrific performance that resulted in a heartbreaking defeat as she surged clear in the stretch of the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint on Nov. 3 at Churchill Downs before being caught in the final strides by winner Shamrock Rose.
Chalon returned for her 5-year-old season on Black-Eyed Susan day at Pimlico, where she rallied for a two length win in the Skipat Stakes. She then finished second in the Bed o' Roses Invitational on Belmont Stakes weekend.
