Cavorting

Cavorting made a splash on the Saratoga scene when winning the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes as a 2-year-old. The filly won her career debut by 11 lengths at Belmont Park before heading to the Spa for her second start in the Adirondack.

After a pair of unplaced finishes in graded stakes, Cavorting won the Jersey Girl Stakes at Belmont Park before a powerhouse victory in the Grade 1 Test Stakes in the summer at Saratoga Race Course. She won the Grade 2 Prioress a month later, confirming her as a top contender for the 2015 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, where she finished fourth of 14. She then wrapped up her sophomore season with a third-place finish in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes.

In 2016 Cavorting finished second in the Distaff Handicap at Aqueduct before winning the Ruffian Stakes and the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes at Belmont Park. Her Phipps win secured her an expenses-paid berth in the Longines Breeders' Cup Distaff at Santa Anita Park this fall. She subsequently closed from last to first to win the Grade 1, $750,000 Personal Ensign Stakes on the Travers Stakes undercard in August at Saratoga.

Cavorting is by top sire Bernardini and out of Grade 2 winner Promenade Girl. She is from the family of fellow Adirondack Stakes winner Dance Colony.
