Causeforcommotion earned her first career win in her eighth start in October 2017 at Santa Anita Park after running second in three of her previous four starts. Beaten by less than a length in each of her next three races, she returned to the winner's circle with an allowance win by a neck on March 4, 2018.
Causeforcommotion earned her first career win in her eighth start in October 2017 at Santa Anita Park after running second in three of her previous four starts. Beaten by less than a length in each of her next three races, she returned to the winner's circle with an allowance win by a neck on March 4, 2018.
Causeforcommotion subsequently made her stakes debut in the Grade 3 Santa Barbara Stakes on April 28, 2018, and took a clear lead in deep stretch of the 1 ½-mile race before fading late to finish second. Five weeks later she won the 1 ¼-mile Possibly Perfect Stakes by a length.
Causeforcommotion returned from a 10-month layoff with a third-place finish in a one-mile allowance race in April 2019 at Santa Anita, which served as a tune-up for the 2019 Santa Barbara. She responded with a tour de force in the Santa Barbara, powering to a nine-length victory.
