Catch a Flight won six races, including five in a row, in his native Argentina before shipping to the U.S. to the barn of Hall of Fame trainer Richard Mandella in time for the 2015 season. He won his second race in the country, an allowance optional claiming event, before finishing third in his first graded stakes try in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap.

The horse then reeled off a pair of graded stakes victories before another third-place effort in a Grade 1, this time in the Gold Cup at Santa Anita. Catch a Flight won the San Diego Handicap at Del Mar before finishing second behind a runaway Beholder in the $1-million Pacific Classic, and he is back in training for a 2016 season.
Catch a Flight is a son of top sire Giant's Causeway, out of the Lode mare Callaia.
