Cambodia took four tries to break her maiden, doing so at the end of her 3-year-old season in 2015. She then had a nearly 10-month layoff, resurfacing in late October 2016 with a win at Laurel Park before heading south to Fair Grounds to capture her third straight victory.

In 2017 she finished third in three consecutive stakes tries, returning to the winner's circle at Pimlico on Preakness day in the Grade 3 Gallorette Stakes on the turf. AFter a third-place finish in the Dr. James Penny Memorial Stakes in July at Parx Racing, Cambodia shipped across the country to Southern California and won the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Stakes at Del Mar. She followed with another win at Del Mar when she prevailed in the Grade 2 John C. Mabee Stakes. She confirmed her class with a hard-fought, third-place finish in the 2017 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf.

Cambodia followed that third-place effort in the Breeders’ Cup with a fourth-place finish in the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes on closing day of Del Mar’s fall meet.

After beginning the year with unplaced finishes in the Coolmore Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland and the Longines Just a Game Stakes at Belmont Park, Cambodia returned to Del Mar and scored a dominant repeat victory in the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Stakes on Aug. 4. She followed that effort up with a second-place finish to Vasilika in the Grade 2 John C. Mabee Stakes on Sept. 1, also at Del Mar. 

Cambodia is a daughter of leading sire War Front, out of the Smart Strike mare Sassification.
