A winner in England, Byrama's biggest successes have come in California. The 2009 filly won her first stakes race in June 2012 and was stakes placed in multiple graded stakes but she always came just a little short in the races. After a year of trying, she broke the graded stakes barrier in style, winning the Grade 1 Vanity Handicap by 3 1/2 lengths and earned a strong third in the Grade 2 A Gleam Handicap just a short month after.
