Bradester has been extremely consistent throughout his career, finishing in the top three in 75% of his races through October 2015.He finished second in his stakes debut in the Grade 2 Indiana Derby in 2013 and the following year earned his first stakes win in the Grade 3 Mineshaft Handicap. Bradester added a victory in the Grade 3 Ack Ack Handicap in September 2014 at Churchill Downs.

After an uncharacteristic 13th-place finish in the Godolphin Mile in Dubai, Bradester regained his top form with back-to-back wins in the Grade 3 Salvator Mile Stakes and Grade 2 Monmouth Cup Stakes before a runner-up finish in August in the Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin Stakes.
