After winning two of seven starts in 2009 in his first season of racing, Blue tone opened 2014 with back-to-back wins, including his first stakes win in the Harry F. Brubaker Stakes at Del Mar.
He added a second stakes victory in the Santana Mile Stakes in 2015 and earned his first graded stakes win in 2017 when he led from start to finish for a clear victory in the Grade 3 San Gabriel Stakes on Jan. 7.
