Blamed, a daughter of 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic winner Blame, began her career racing on the New Mexico circuit. After finishing second in her debut at Zia Park, she won five consecutive races, culminating with a 6 ¼-length win in the Sunland Park Oaks in March 2018.
The filly was then transferred to trainer Bill Mott and shipped east for a fall campaign. She finished a game second in the Grade 2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland in October and then won the Grade 3 Comely Stakes by three-quarters of a length on Nov. 23 at Aqueduct.

Blamed set the pace and faded to fifth on a sloppy track at Gulfstream in the Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes in her 2019 debut. She bounced back nicely in her second start at four, powering to a front-running win in the Grade 3 Royal Delta Stakes on Feb. 16.
