Bellavais needed three tries to earn her first career victory but she came right back with a stakes win in her fourth race, a three-quarter-length score in the Ginger Brew Stakes in January 2017 at Gulfstream Park. She placed twice in stakes in her next three starts before regaining her best form to win the Drumtop Stakes in August 2017 at Suffolk Downs. Bellavais was unplaced in her final three starts of 2017.

Belavais did not race again for more than 11 months, returning in October 2018 with a victory in an allowance/optional claiming race at Belmont Park. She then was tested again in stakes competition and ran fourth in the Grade 3 My Charmer Stakes on Dec. 15 at Gulfstream Park. In her 2019 debut, Bellavais earned a breakthrough graded stakes win when she charged through an opening along the rail in deep stretch and powered to a clear lead to prevail in the Grade 3 Marshua’s River Stakes on Jan. 12 at Gulfstream Park.
By leading sire Tapit, Bellavais is out of the graded-stakes-winning Ghostzapper mare La Cloche, a half-sister (same dam [mother], different sire [father]) to multiple Grade 1 winner Winter Memories. Bellavais second dam (maternal grandmother) is multiple Grade 1 winner Memories of Silver, by Silver Hawk.
