A $650,000 purchase as a yearling, Avenge took four races to break her maiden but then reeled off three straight wins including the Ultrafleet Stakes. She finished sixth in a graded stakes in her next try and was given nearly a year off, returning to the races in May 2016. She won an allowance optional claiming race in July before capturing her first graded stakes with a win in the John C. Mabee Stakes at Del Mar in September. Avenge continued her winning ways with a smart tally in the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive Stakes on Oct.

Avenge turned in a game performance in the Filly and Mare Turf when she led into deep stretch before tiring just a bit and fading to finish third behind winner Queen's Trust and Lady Eli.
The 5-year-old mare finished third and sixth in her first two starts of 2017, both in graded stakes. But she rebounded to win her second consecutive Rodeo Drive on Sept. 30 by three-quarters of a length.
Avenge is a daughter of top sire War Front, out of the Woodman mare Lerici, making her a half-sister to graded stakes-placed filly Lira.
