Annals of Time won his career debut in November 2015 but did not race again for more than nine months. He returned in an allowance-optional claiming race at Saratoga in September 2016 and finished second by a head.
Annals of Time made his stakes debut in the Grade 3 Hill Prince Stakes at Belmont Park in October and finished third by a length behind Camelot Kitten and Beach Patrol.
Trainer Chad Brown shipped Annals of Time west for the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby in December 2016 and he responded by closing from 10th with a powerful rally to win by 1 ½ lengths.

Following another extended layoff, Annals of Time won an allowance race in September 2017 by a length at Belmont Park, but he was then sidelined for more than 20 months.
Annals of Time finished second in an allowance race at Belmont Park in June 2019 and followed with an allowance win in July at Saratoga, where he uncoiled an explosive late burst of speed to prevail by 4 ½ lengths.
He returned to stakes competition for the Grade 1 Sword Dancer Stakes, a “Win and You’re In” Challenge Series race for the Longines Breeders’ Cup Turf, on the Aug. 24 Runhappy Travers Stakes undercard. Annals of Time nailed down his second career Grade 1 win with another powerful late rally to win by a neck over a game Sadler’s Joy.
