A winner in his first race at Woodbine, Ami's Flatter traveled to the United States for the winter where he was beaten by just 1 3/4 lengths in the Mucho Macho Man Stakes in January. After a misfire in the Sam F. Davis Stakes, he was back on the stakes board when finishing second to the highly regarded Carpe Diem in the Tampa Bay Derby. The colt was routed to the Queen's Plate Stakes but after a disappointing effort there was shelved for the rest of the year.

Ami's Flatter resurfaced in January 2016 with an impressive win at Gulfstream Park. After a fourth-place finish in the Fred Hooper Stakes he returned to a sprint distance, winning the seven-furlong, Grade 2 Commonwealth Stakes at Keeneland in April.
Ami's Flatter is a half brother to stakes winners Aragorn Ami and related to good Canadian-bred Ami's Holiday.
