Alterite broke her maiden in her second start at La Teste De Buch. She won two listed stakes in Europe and placed third in the Group 1 Total Prix Marcel Boussac-Criterium Des Pouliches and second in the Group 1 Pour Moi Coolmore Prix Saint-Alary.
In the fall of 2013 the Literato filly came to the United States and won her first start, the Grade 1 Garden City Stakes at Belmont Park. She ran again at Keeneland, finishing second in the Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes.
