A winner of his maiden at Kentucky Downs in early September, Airoforce came back a month later to win the Dixiana Bourbon Stakes for a spot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf. He finished second in that race, a neck behind winner Hit It a Bomb.
Later in 2015, Airoforce was tested in the main track at Churchill Downs and responded with a victory in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes.

After showing some ability on the main track in the Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, Airoforce took a step back when running 10th in the Veterans Ford Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds. He tried a synthetic surface next in hopes of making it into the Kentucky Derby but finished a disappointing eighth in the Spiral Stakes at Turfway Park. Airoforce then returned to the grass with a fourth-place finish in the American Turf Stakes on Derby day at Churchill Downs and a runner-up effort in the Penn Mile.
Sold for $350,000 as a 2-year-old, he is by Travers winner Colonel John and out of the multiple stakes-placed mare Chocolate Pop.
