#2 Dulcibelle: Woodbine on Saturday is stacked with some really great betting races on Pattison Canadian International day. We’ll try to start off with a horse who seems to be trending in the right direction. After losing her first nine career starts, Dulcibelle had the light go on in August when she won a lower level maiden race by seven lengths (leading rider Eurico Rosa Da Silva was up for that race and he returns to ride Ducibelle on Saturday). In her next start, she finished a close third while posting career-best Equibase (78) and Beyer (65) Speed Figures. Trainer Abraham Katrayan will now look to keep his filly going while switching her back to the turf. The all-weather-to-turf numbers for Katrayan are solid; over the past two years he’s won 24% of the time on the surface switch with a +232 ROI.

#7 Keen Artie: This is another large field and a fun betting race on the International undercard. We’re gonna take a little bit of a swing with a horse who might get overlooked in the betting. In a race that is loaded with a number of runners who are dropping into softer company after whiffing against tougher allowance horses, Keen Artie actually steps up here to take on winners for the first time. Although he was well-beaten three starts back, it was his first time on the turf and he actually looked more comfortable over the surface than he had in previous starts. After another miss in an all-weather route, he cut back and really looked good beating maidens last out in a turf sprint. He cuts back even more here and should get plenty of pace to run into.
