For the third year in a row, America’s Best Racing is challenging some of the brightest minds in horse betting to come up with their top three picks for key races every weekend leading up to the Breeders' Cup on Nov. 1 and 2. The handicappers face off in what we like to call “Big-Race Showdown.”

The players' picks will be posted here and a running bankroll will be kept to track their success all year long. Bankrolls will be tabulated on the basis of $2 exacta and $2 trifecta box bets of each player’s top three selections. We will also be keeping track of which player correctly selects the most winners.

Our featured races this week are the Vosburgh Stakes, a "Win and You're In" race for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint; the Jockey Club Gold Cup, a qualifying prep for the Breeders’ Cup Classic; the Rodeo Drive Stakes, a qualifier for the Maker’s Mark Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf; and the Awesome Again Stakes, a qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Classic. The Vosburgh and Jockey Club Gold Cup will be broadcast live during NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” show airing nationally on FS2 and on various regional channels. “America’s Day at the Races,” presented by America's Best Racing, Runhappy, and Claiborne Farm, airs on Sept. 28 from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. ET. The Rodeo Drive and Awesome Again will be televised on NBCSN from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. ET.
