Vág will identify her top picks as well as at least one longshot play of the weekend, a nice opportunity to swing for the fences on a win bet or to take a shot with a show bet. She also will occasionally look for strong exacta plays for the weekend or try to spot a nice opportunity for other wagers.

This Weekend’s Bets
Saturday, May 25
Churchill Downs, Race 7, 3:50 p.m. ET
#6 Kid Lemuel: He looked good last time out after the lengthy eight-month layoff finishing fifth, but only 1 ¾ lengths behind the winner. All three of his career starts have been over the turf, and at a routing distance. It seems like the added eighth of a mile could really do him wonders as it does appear he ran out of ground in those three starts, closing late but not having enough distance left to make up the difference.
Churchill Downs, Race 8, 4:22 p.m. ET
#3 Into Trouble: It has been a while since she found the winner’s circle; however, she takes a necessary drop in class out of some recent stakes races and should finally be able to race over a fast dirt course. Her speed figures are comparable to the rest of the field, and if she can manage not to be forced wide, and find some racing room in the stretch, she should have enough left to make a late bid, likely off a stalking trip.
Belmont Park, Race 7, 4:45 p.m. ET
#2 Linda's Ballet: She narrowly missed breaking her maiden first time out on the turf, coming up a bit short after making a three-wide bid. She is raced back very quickly, off only a couple weeks, and drawing an inside post could help her work out a similar ground-saving trip.
Belmont Park, Race 10, 6:24 p.m. ET
#8 Commute: The shortening in distance today could prove very useful for this runner who definitely seemed to tire late in his most recent start after trying his luck at a mile. He is at his best when involved in the pace scenario early, and the outside post might get him involved. Timing-wise he fits in well with this group, and if he puts forth efforts like he did towards the end of 2018, he could definitely surprise at double-digit odds.
Favorite Sports Pick of the Weekend
Saturday, May 25
National Basketball Association: Milwaukee Bucks @ Toronto Raptors
PICK: Toronto Raptors money line (Odds TBD): Depending on what happens Thursday night, the Raptors will return home for Game 6 either up 3-2, or in a must-win game trying to fend off elimination. The Raptors have posted a 39-11 record on their home court, and have won two straight games on their home court, eclipsing 118 in each contest versus the Bucks.
The Raptors managed to limit the bench of the Bucks in Game 4, with the leading scorer logging only 7 points after two players logging 20 or more the game prior. If Toronto can continue to limit Brook Lopez, Eric Bledsoe, and the Bucks’ bench, they should be able to take Game 6 once again on their home court.
