Officiating won his first stakes race on Sept. 5, 2021 at Gulfstream Park, when he won the Bear's Den Stakes by 3 1/2 lengths. Sent off at 7.80-1 in the seven-furlong off-the-turf contest, the Florida-bred Blame colt rated off the pace and kicked clear in the stretch to win going away.
A few months later, Officiating added a graded stakes win to his credentials, when he won the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector Stakes at Gulfstream on Dec. 11. He moved three-wide on the turn and held off the rally of favored Endorsed for the victory.

After a third-place finish in the Grade 3 Fred W. Hooper Stakes Presented by Hill 'n' Dale Farms at Xalapa to start his 2022 season, Officiating shipped up to Aqueduct for the Grade 3 Tom Fool Handicap on Mar. 5. He proved he can win outside of Gulfstream, drawing away to a mild 5.70-1 upset victory after rating off the pace.
Officiating finished fourth and third in his next two starts during 2022, six-furlong sprint stakes races at Tampa Bay Downs and Belmont Park, respectively. He then shipped to Iowa for the Grade 3 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap and proved he could stretch out successfully to 1 1/8 miles, winning by 1 ¼ lengths at odds of 8.10-1.
The Peter Vegso homebred and Saffie Joseph Jr. trainee is out of the winning Dixie Union mare Come a Callin. He is a half-brother to champion filly Caledonia Road and stakes winner One of a Kind.
