My Mane Squeeze

My Mane Squeeze, a New York-bred daughter of Audible, made her first two starts at Saratoga during its summer 2023 meet, finishing third in her debut and then winning a six-furlong sprint restricted to statebreds. She stayed within the statebred restriction for her final two starts of her 2-year-old season and closed out 2023 with a three-length victory in the one-mile Maid of the Mist Stakes held during the Belmont at the Big A meet in October.

In 2024, My Mane Squeeze came back to score two more stakes victories competing against fellow New York-breds, the 6 ½-furlong Franklin Square Stakes and the one-mile Maddie May Stakes, both at Aqueduct. She then stepped out of New York-bred company for the first time and shipped to Oaklawn for the Grade 2 Fantasy Stakes, where she disappointed as the 2.30-1 favorite by finishing eighth of 10.

Trainer Mike Maker cut My Mane Squeeze back to one turn for her next start, the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes May 3 at Churchill Downs, and the filly responded with an impressive two-length victory under first-time rider Luis Saez. She tallied her fourth stakes win overall and fifth win in eight starts.

My Mane Squeeze is out of the winning Speightstown mare In Spite of Mama and is a half-sister to Rotknee, a multiple stakes winner competing in the statebred ranks. Millionaire and Grade 1 winner Haynesfield is another notable relative.
