After failing to win in his first 13 starts, Leinster earned a breakthrough win in his second try on grass when he posted a 3 ¾-length win in April 2019 at Keeneland.
With the confidence of a victory under his saddle, the Majestic Warrior colt followed with a victory in an allowance-optional claiming race on the grass at Churchill Downs on June 28, seizing command in the stretch and pulling away to win by 2 ¼ lengths.

Leinster made his stakes debut in the Grade 3 Troy Stakes at Saratoga Race Course Aug. 3 and rallied from off the pace to win by three-quarters of a length in a turf-course-record time of 1:00.23 for 5 ½ furlongs. He then finished third in the Runhappy Turf Sprint at Kentucky Downs and next ran second in the Woodford Stakes at Keeneland with an eye on the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. He closed out the season with a seventh-place finish in the Turf Sprint.
Leinster returned from a layoff of more than 6 1/2 months May 29, 2020, at Churchill Downs with a runner-up finish in an allowance-optional claiming race. He returned to stakes competition for the Grade 2 Shakertown Stakes July 11 at Keeneland and closed gamely to take the lead before holding off a late final surge from Totally Boss to prevail by a nose in a thriller. Leinster completed the 5 1/2 furlongs in a stakes- and course-record time of 1:00.86.
Trainer Rusty Arnold kept Leinster on the bench until Keeneland's fall meet opened, and brought him back for the Grade 2 Woodford Stakes Presented by TVG for another try after finishing second in 2019. Jockey Luis Saez put him in a good pace-stalking position and Leinster drew clear in midstretch to post his third win in four starts at Keeneland and his second Grade 2 win in a row. The streak came to an end when Leinster finished a game third in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint Nov. 7 at Keeneland.
Leinster made his 6-year-old debut in the Grade 3 Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint Stakes and wore down game pacesetter High Crime in the closing strides to prevail Feb. 13 at Gulfstream Park.
Leinster is a half-brother to two-time Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint winner Stormy Liberal, the 2018 champion turf male.
