Ramon Dominguez talks about his career, life after racing, and some of his favorite horses to ride during his career. Dominguez suffered a fractured skull on Jan. 18, 2013 when his mount stumbled and fell with the champion jockey. While there was hope that the jockey would return to riding, he announced his retirement in June when the doctors warned another fall could reinjure the jockey.

Dominguez retired with 4,985 wins and won the Eclipse for outstanding jockey from 2010-2012 in addition to being the earnings leader during those years. Dominguez also set the North American record for earnings in a season with $25,634,852, 2012 among a long list of accomplishments during his career.
