Chrystal Leidecker was watching the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes on NBC Sports Network with her husband when she saw an ad for America’s Best Racing’s "Revelry or Refined" contest and signed up.

A few weeks later, she found out that she was the lucky winner of the “Refined” option of the contest, allowing her to go to the Kentucky Derby.

“Honestly, I didn't believe it was real. I was checking to make sure this was legitimate,” said Leidecker.

Leidecker and three of her family members will be spending the day on Millionaire’s Row. She is making the trip a graduation present for her sister Jessica, who is graduating from college in a few weeks. The Derby experience is also a treat for Leidecker, who will be returning to work on Monday following maternity leave after having a child.

Leidecker’s husband is excited about the contest because it means he might get to meet two of his favorite sports figure.

“My husband is a huge sports fan and really wants to meet John Calipari and Rick Pitino,” she said. The couple will also be rooting for Pitino’s Goldencents due to his ownership.

Included in the prize package was $1,000 betting money and Leidecker says she will be betting but she doesn’t plan to use it all. The Kentucky native and resident also will be experiencing her first real Derby experience, since the first time she went to the race she only got to enjoy the atmosphere.

“We came for a fundraiser [in high school] for band and I got to work at the Derby for the day,” Leidecker said. “I didn't really get to experience the racing, though, so I'm glad to have the opportunity now.”

As soon as she learned about the win, Leidecker went and bought her Kentucky Derby outfit. She was careful to make sure that she will fit right in on Millionaire’s Row for all the right reasons when choosing what to wear.

“I bought an orange dress and a beautiful white hat to go with it. I didn't want to choose an orange hat so that I wouldn't look like an orange creamsicle,” she explained.

Most of all, Chrystal Leidecker is excited to meet the celebrities she’s seen on television.

“I'm really excited to see the celebrities on Millionaire's Row. And, the whole experience will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and my family. We can't wait.”
