It’s a light and woven cotton fabric that’s puckered, commonly striped, and a must-have in your summer wardrobe … I’m referring to the oh-so-charming Southern classic-seersucker! Seersucker comes in a variety of colors, including blue, grey, coral, cream, and mint green to name a few.

The material is breathable, making it perfect for hot summer months. What is also great about seersucker is that it is woven in such a way that some threads bunch together, giving the fabric a wrinkled appearance in places so ironing isn’t necessary!

From accessories to suits, cute dresses and more, it’s easy to incorporate seersucker into your summer wardrobe. Here are some of my favorite looks for inspiration:

JOLIE AND ELIZABETH: SEERSUCKER DRESSES

These Louisiana designers have the seersucker look down to a perfect Southern T! The Jolie and Elizabeth seersucker collection is, hands down, my favorite. Ladies, if you are looking for a seersucker dress that will turn heads, I’d start here.

J. CREW: SEERSUCKER SWIMSUITS

Lay out by the pool in true Southern style this summer with a cute seersucker swimsuit. J.Crew carries a great variety of seersucker suits. This bandeau top is one of my favorites.

JOS. A. BANK: SEERSUCKER SUIT

This two-button, seersucker, tailored fit suit from Jos. A. Bank would transform any man into a true Southern gentleman! A seersucker suit is perfect for outdoor parties, weddings, and the races! Find one here

BROOKS BROTHERS: SEERSUCKER TIES

Seersuckerties

Ok, so maybe you aren’t ready to invest in a new seersucker suit … no worries! You can easily add a seersucker touch with a nice tie. I found several great ties online at Brooks Brothers (some are on sale!).

From suits, ties, dresses, bow ties, shorts, skirts, and even make up bags, the possibilities to incorporate seersucker into your summer look are endless. For more seersucker fashion inspiration, visit my Pinterest board.
