What to Wear to the Belmont Stakes

The Belmont Stakes is days away and we’ve got a potential Triple Crown on the line at Belmont Park with American Pharoah, jockey Victor Espinoza, trainer Bob Baffert and owners the Zayats. One of my favorite things about big days like the Belmont Stakes is that it’s fun to go all out when dressing up!

If you’re team American Pharoah and really want to go all out in supporting him, here’s the perfect Zayat silks-matching outfit. This paneled canary yellow, Diane Von Furstenberg “Carrie dress” is not only bright and colorful, but comfortable too! Turquoise accents are a must starting with the fringe beaded Kate Spade necklace, crystal blue Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses and Chloe “Drew” mini shoulder bag. The gold accents are a perfect way to tie the whole outfit together and as soon as I saw the Sandy Hyun vintage bracelet with its yellow and turquoise accents I knew it had to be added. Throw on some gold horseshoe earrings and be sure to wear them open side up so all your racing luck stays in.

New Yorkers are notoriously known for loving black clothes and I’m no exception  – it’s easy because it matches with everything (and it doesn’t show stains if your racing form begins to sweat ink on you  - a typical issue for me). This Ted Baker Skater dress is both flattering and breezy for a whole day at the track. I picked these metallic heeled Adecyn Ted Baker floral heels because they’re fun, funky and you can coordinate your accessories to them. The burgundy leather tote (perfect for all your track essentials) and jade Gina Foster Posey hatinator bring out some of the fun colors in the heels and the Rock and Tiffany statement necklace and stud earrings finish off the look.

Want to wear something more feminine and slightly less edgy? The Nougat London Cap Sleeve Stretch Dress in dandango pink is just the thing for you! Pair it with a GRACE + SCARPER horse shoe bracelet, gold stencil teardrop earrings, a gold leather ankle strap heels, a white Vera Bradley “Harper” clutch and of course don’t forget your fascinator. As you can probably tell I’m also a huge fan of sunglasses – I don’t leave home without them and wear them with EVERY track outfit! Pop some bubbly, because you’ll look fabulous in this and that’s reason enough to celebrate.

Last but not least, I adore this Choices red spaghetti strap crochet midi dress. The Tiffany fascinator with woven loops and feathers is darling without taking away from the dress. The Kate Spade idiom “heart of gold” stackable bangle, gold Park Lane Toepost jelly flat sandals, rose gold-plated, light pink crystal Swarovski solitaire earrings and two-tone pink ALDO Vanduyane evening clutch are the perfect simple accompaniments.

I just picked out my Belmont Stakes dress and earrings and I can’t wait to go pick out the perfect fascinator from Christine A. Moore – my fantastic milliner friend! It’s going to be a super-duper racing card and I can’t wait to see all the ladies & gents dressed to the nines. Tell me what you’re wearing to the Belmont Stakes – I hope to see you there.
