Name: Angie Athayde Stevens

What I do for a living: Owner/Talent Manager at Meticulous Talent Management

How and when I was introduced to Thoroughbred racing: working on Seabiscuit in 2002

My favorite racetrack: Del Mar or Chantilly

My favorite Thoroughbred racing event: Kentucky Derby

Other sports/teams I follow: Football – Alabama, Louisville, Boise State and San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, basketball, swimming

What I would like to see more of in Thoroughbred racing: Transparency, consistency, unity and more sponsors for the jockeys and trainers. Racing needs to have a national commissioner if there is to be any consistency and enforcement of regulations and violations.

What I would like to see less of in Thoroughbred racing: negativity, lack of unity, excuses

Three words that define what Thoroughbred racing means to me: excitement, adventure, work

First Thoroughbred track I ever attended was: Santa Anita

Favorite All-time Thoroughbred: Rock Hard Ten

My personal best moment in the sport of Thoroughbred Racing: 1. Watching (my husband) Gary Stevens win the 2013 Preakness aboard Oxbow. 2. Getting the Maserati deal done for the field four days before the 2013 Kentucky Derby.

Best racetrack food can be found at: Santa Anita

My favorite jockey: Gary Stevens (even if I didn’t have to answer that way I would)

My favorite trainer: whatever trainer Gary Stevens is riding for that day

My favorite owner(s): Jill and Dave Kenney

My Heroes: my parents, anyone who has served in the military, anyone who has overcome tremendous odds and children battling life threatening diseases

Person in Thoroughbred racing I’d like to have dinner with: Richard Duchossois or Brad Kelley

My philosophy on life: Life is too short to be anything but happy and positive! Always look on the bright side! Be kind to others and treat others the way you want to be treated.

Favorite quote or motto: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Favorite animal other than a horse: seahorse or dog

Favorite non-Thoroughbred racing sports event I have attended: Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four

Favorite food: sushi

Favorite vacation spot: Kauai, Hawaii and Deauville, France, but I think I would love Bora Bora

Favorite city: Washington, D.C. or New York City

Favorite all-time movie(s): Argo, Glory, Miracle, The Guardian, Shawshank Redemption

Favorite TV Show: "Modern Family," "Boardwalk Empire"

Favorite hotel: L’auberge in Del Mar

Websites I visit daily: Facebook, Twitter, Paulick Report, TDN, Hollywood Reporter

What I drive: Range Rover Sport

Pet Peeve: rudeness and lack of compassion

Favorite movie about horse racing: Seabiscuit

Which actor would play me in a movie: Jennifer Aniston

Alma Mater: Catholic University of America

Best book I recently read: "Behold a Pale Horse" (actually has nothing to do with horses)

Favorite memento: two signs from my grandparents’ farm and art made by my daughter

Favorite dessert: anything with chocolate and peanut butter

Favorite drink: wine and Champagne

What I like about my job: The fast pace, working while at the races and getting deals done for the jockeys!

Favorite Tech gadget: iPhone

Twitter Handle: @angiestevens1

People I follow on Twitter: @hrtvgary, @christinablacker, @man_o_pr, @mario_Gutierez, @camhatsNYC

No. 1 Bucket List item: Watch my daughter grow up to be happy and successful
