Peter Miller began going to the track at age 8, spending the summers at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club. His parents owned Thoroughbreds in the name of Winning Ways Stable, and it wasn't long before Miller decided he wanted to be a jockey. Doctors said he would outgrow the profession so he turned to other ways to be involved in the sport.
Miller got his start working for Hall of Fame trainer Charlie Whittingham and later worked for Mike Mitchell and Don Warren as well as John and Betty Mabee's Golden Eagle Farm.
Multiple graded stakes winner Comma to the Top and Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint runner-up Reneesgotzip are among the best Miller has trained.
