Catch a Glimpse

Catch a Glimpse broke her maiden in her second start, an allowance race at Woodbine in August 2015. She then jumped into graded stakes competition, where she captured the Grade 2 Natalma Stakes by an impressive five lengths to earn a spot in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf starting gate.

She confirmed her class in the Breeders' Cup, giving trainer Mark Casse his first win in the World Championships with a three-quarter-length victory.

Catch a Glimpse was given a vacation after the Breeders' Cup and returned in February 2016 with a resounding win in the Herecomesthebride Stakes at Gulfstream Park. Catch a Glimpse then won the Grade 3 Appalachian Stakes at Keeneland in April before a victory in the Grade 3 Edgewood Stakes on the Kentucky Oaks undercard in May at Churchill Downs. After another Grade 3 win in the Penn Mile Stakes against males in June, Catch a Glimpse extended her winning streak to eight with a win in the Grade 1, $1 million Belmont Oaks Invitational Stakes. 

The filly is a daughter of top sire City Zip, who had two Breeders' Cup winners in 2014. Catch a Glimpse is out of Halo River, a multiple stakes-winning daugther of French stallion Irish River. Catch a Glimpse, a half-sister to graded stakes winner Old Forester, was a $75,000 yearling purchase at Keeneland in 2014.
